Since 1996, Stewart & Stevenson has been the exclusive manufacturer of Allison Transmission’s Industrial Torque Converter line. A torque converter lengthens the life-cycle of the engine and equipment it’s coupled with by multiplying torque hydraulically while applying power smoothly to the load allowing the use of lower horse power. The converter also provides the added benefit of protecting the engine against harmful lugging and stalling or shock load damage.
Today, you can find our manufactured SSTC 300 to 900 series torque converters in a variety of industrial applications including oilfield equipment, cranes, drilling rigs, pump drives, rail equipment, rock crushers, winches and hoists. We can manufacture a new torque converter for you or provide you parts for your existing Allison torque converter. Our comprehensive aftermarket support capabilities include rebuild of all applications, readily available parts and field service.
